Our fishing group is from the far corner of SE Minnesota and we have been to Northern Light Resort for 15 years. We love coming here as guests of the resort.  Kevin and his staff always do the best they can to make our stay a memorable adventure. The lake structure and water clarity is extraordinary with the game fish quality second to none and also an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery to enjoy.  Unlimited photo opportunities. Looking for a great place on a lake that offers serenity, wilderness, wildlife, camping, accessibility, resort accommodations, wonderful people and the best for last:  great fishing?  That place is Northern Light Lake.  I travel 700 miles form a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, 3 times a year for the past 41 years.  Yes, 41 years! 

This lake offers everything a Fisherman can anticipate.  The lake has many miles of shoreline, islands, campsites, a beautiful waterfall and an abundance of Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, and Whitefish.  Enjoy the fun and experiences I have enjoyed for 41 years.

A truly fantastic place! Northern Light Resort is an experience for anyone who loves SUPERB fishing, hunting and nature at its best. We have been seasonal campers at Northern Light Resort as a family for 23 years. The resort has and continues to exemplify a safe family camping experience coupled with the friendship of our fellow campers and visitors. 

The big game hunting, walleye, lake trout, bass and northern fishing is great. There are some big ones in Northern Light Lake.  The Lake is breathtaking to be on and the bays and shoreline are endless. 

The staff is personable, courteous and professional and strive to help campers and visitors every day. Northern Light Resort has been and continues to be our one and only summer camp.

A friend introduced me to his family tradition of fishing Northern Light Lake 16 years ago.  Since then I haven’t missed a season and have introduced dozens more friends and family.  I initially got hooked because the lake consistently produces Walleye, Pike, Smallies and Lakers in both “eater” and trophy sizes. I come back because it is now a tradition that I value with my family and friends.
 
Kevin and his staff are great!  They have updated cabins and added many amenities.  This combined with great fishing make the value you get at Northern Light Resort hard to beat and keeps us looking forward to our stay every June.

I’ve been fishing in Canada for over 45 years and Northern Light Lake the last twenty two years. This is the BEST walleye lake I’ve fished in Canada. This is a trophy walleye lake!
 
Also, those running the camp and those living in the camp are the best as well. Great people!
